| Camping Ochlockonee State Park Facilities in the State Park provide canoeing, fishing, and picnic areas. The campground has separate family and youth camping areas available. There are nature trails open year round, and during the summer months ranger-guided walks and campfire programs are available. Ochlockonee River State Park is located four miles south of Sopchoppy on U.S. 319. National Forest This campground is open year round. The fee is $8 per day with a 14 day maximum stay. The sites have paved parking aprons. There are 25 camping sites with tables and grilles provided. There is a waste station
for RV's. There is potable water available. There is no electricity or RV hookups. The
showers are open air and cold water. There are however, hot showers at the Day Use area
which is within walking distance. Silver Lake Habitat Trail provides hiking for those who enjoy a short, interpretive path. It's located in the Day Use area. The campground is set in a variety of oak and pine trees. There is a restored Civilian
Conversation Corps (CCC) pavilion at the day-use area. There are numerous gas stations and
convenience stores close to the campground on State Rt. 20. |
