Owl Prowl at the Wakulla Springs State Park - Join Jim Shelton of Apalachee Audubon, to observe and learn about owls and night birds. After a brief discussion of the natural histories of the various species of owls and nightjars in our area, we will take a short walk around the Lodge to call in and observe the owls present.  Meet in the Terrace adjacent to the lobby of the Wakulla Springs Lodge (preregistration required) Friday, 7:30 - 9:00 pm $5

Bat Presentation & Night Watch - Join Jeff Gore, Wildlife Biologist with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, for a presentation on Florida bats. He will lead a walk to possibly hear and see Florida's native "masters of the night". Meet in the Pavilion Building in the Wakulla Springs State Park (preregistration required) $5

Introduction to Florida Frogs Presentation - Florida is home to 27 native and three well-established exotic frog species. Paul Moler, of FWC, provides an introduction to the natural history of frogs and includes a few “words” from each of the species found in Florida. Tapes of Florida’s frogs will be available for $2.00. Presentation in the Ed Ball Room (#103) of the Wakulla Lodge (preregistration required) Friday, 7:30 - 9:00 pm $5

Basically Bluebirds - Join Birdsong Nature Center's Interpretive Naturalist, Amy Waite, for a close look at these celebrated feathered friends. Discover what it takes to make your yard bluebird friendly as we review their food, water and housing needs. Saturday 10:30 am - 11:30 am; Pavilion Building, Wakulla Springs State Park (Free with park admission)

Birding in Your Backyard - If you love having lots of birds in your backyard, but want to know more about them, then this is the program for you.  We will discuss the various backyard species and what you can do to encourage and provide for them. The program will cover various topics including, feeding and watering stations, nesting boxes, species identification and habitat enrichment. Saturday 12:30-1:30pm Pavilion Building, Wakulla Springs State Park (Free with park admission)

 The Wakulla Springs Cave System - The Woodville Karst Plain presentation by Project Director Casey McKinlay, Woodville Karst Plain Project - Divers take you on a phenomenal video journey into the caves to show what lies deep beneath Wakulla Springs. Saturday 2:00-2:30pm Pavilion Building, Wakulla Springs State Park (Free with park admission)

 Where Does Wakulla's Water Come From? Establishing Hydrologic Connections in the Woodville Karst Plain - Dr. Todd Kincaid will present on-going research by the Florida Geological Survey and Florida State University on groundwater and surface water flow through the Woodville Karst Plain and the affects of this flow on water quality at Wakulla Springs and in the Floridan aquifer. He will present how groundwater tracing studies are being used to identify direct and rapid connections between surface water runoff and spring discharge. Learn about flow and water quality measuring equipment recently installed in the Wakulla cave by FGS, FSU and the WKPP. Come prepared for a provocative discussion because the findings have immediate implications to current development issues in Leon and Wakulla counties.
